About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of robust database solutions that support our applications and business operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database management, data modeling, and SQL development, ensuring optimal data integrity, security, and performance. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, designing efficient database architectures, and implementing solutions that align with business needs. The Database Developer will also be responsible for monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing automation scripts to streamline processes. Additionally, the role requires involvement in database setup, testing, documentation, backups, data migration, and security measures, utilizing basic Unix/Linux commands and tools. Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in database development or related fields
- Basic knowledge of developing and optimizing databases in Snowflake or similar relational database systems
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processing tasks
- Fundamental understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues and enhance performance
- Knowledge of query optimization and indexing techniques is a plus
- Experience with database setup, testing, and documentation
- Familiarity with data migration, backup, and security procedures
- Design, develop, and optimize database systems primarily in Snowflake or other major relational databases
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand data requirements and craft efficient solutions
- Monitor database performance and implement improvements to ensure high efficiency and reliability
- Develop automation scripts using Python to streamline data tasks and processes
- Assist in database setup, configuration, testing, and comprehensive documentation
- Manage database backups, data migrations, and security protocols to safeguard data integrity
- Utilize basic Unix/Linux commands and tools for database management and troubleshooting
- Proactively identify and resolve database issues to maintain optimal operation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance database performance and security
