Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Tester. Eaton's Edmonton Power Centre (EPC) is our Canadian Manufacturing Facility that specializes in custom configurations of low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage motor control centres, and coordination centre for our Integrated Power Centre (E-House) offering. EPC creates custom product configurations, designs transition sections to replace outdated equipment, configures solutions for retrofit challenges, and manufactures unique front-access low and medium voltage switchgear solutions.
What You’ll Do
Are you enthusiastic about manufacturing? Have you had experience with Various types of electrical testing equipment? Reporting to the Quality Manager and Lead tester it is the tester’s responsibility to ensure that Quality standards are followed in accordance with the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) & ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). This position works closely with our Electrical and Mechanical teams to optimize workflow. If so, we want you to join our team as an: entry level electrical tester. This position will be on-site based out of the Edmonton Power Centre, in Edmonton, Alberta.

What will you do?
Continuous improvement and Quality mindset: Provide leadership for implementing the Eaton Lean Six Sigma System (ELSS) and the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS). adhere to ISO 9001 quality procedures & work instructions and actively participate in the quality improvement process.
Health, Safety and Environmental stewardship: Maintain a positive commitment to the prevention of pollution and protection of the environment fulfilling environmental health and safety responsibilities as outlined in the MESH program. Maintain a positive commitment to the safety of self and others identifying and reporting any hazard(s) in the workplace using the Hazard Identification Form; reporting any near misses, incidents, injuries, events resulting in lost-time, or occupational diseases immediately; using equipment, materials, and machinery only as authorized, and for which training has been successfully completed; following procedures and wearing personal protective equipment as required.
Electrical testing and calibration: Ensure electrical testing complies with Eaton electrical testing safety practice and that all testing equipment is calibrated and fully functional prior to testing. As well as maintain all testing equipment and testing Standard-Work, as well as periodically updating Eaton testing manuals. Assist a variety of electrical tests including: Hipot, Megger, Partial Discharge and Basic Insulation Level testing; followed by the completion of test reports & other documentations.
What will make you successful?
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of Electrical testing equipment, techniques and safety measures related to the testing processes and how to use computers and systems in a manufacturing context. The candidate should be comfortable working on the shop floor to troubleshoot issues and implement new processes where required.
A good verbal and written communicator with experience in computers and various types of software is required.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in electrical testing environment is ideal.
- Basic knowledge and skills in MS Office are required.
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship.
- No relocation allowance is available for this position.
- Master Electrician certification
- Familiar with LEAN Manufacturing processes and Six Sigma tools.
