The Senior Construction Estimator will oversee the estimating process from pre-construction to project execution. This will include preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, managing tenders, and ensuring seamless coordination between all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a collaborative environment on ICI and residential pre-construction.

Our client is a well known general contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering complex Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, and Residential projects throughout Ontario. The team is lead by senior industry professionals that want to continue to deliver top projects.
Description
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
- Oversee the pre-construction process, working closely with clients and project teams to evaluate project scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage tendering processes, including analyzing bid submissions, negotiating with subcontractors, and finalizing contracts.
- Provide cost analysis and value engineering throughout the pre-construction and construction phases to optimize budget and project efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and reflected in the estimates.
- Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure smooth transition from pre-construction and estimating to project execution.
- Perform risk assessments and provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
- Review historical data and apply unit prices and productivity factors to establish benchmark estimates.
- Track and analyze project costs, timelines, and performance to provide feedback for future estimates.
- Stay up-to-date with current market trends, material prices, and industry standards.
- Lead and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise in estimating best practices.
Profile
- 5-10 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Experience in pre-construction, tenders, and construction management.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership experience is a plus.
- Living in or willing to relocate to Windsor, Ontario
