We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in AWS services including DynamoDB Lambda and DevOps tools. This role involves optimizing cloud infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration of AWS services. The position is hybrid with no travel required and operates during the day shift.

In this role, you will

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud solutions using AWS services to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring and taking actions on all AWS Active Services notification: E.g. - VPC self-service, CfCT, Account decomm, ACM etc.
  • SNOW forms Workflow documentation and monthly Regression testing of each AWS Service Now forms.
  • Oversee the integration of Amazon DynamoDB and Lambda to ensure seamless data processing and application performance.
  • Provide expertise in AWS Cloud and DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes and reduce time-to-market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AWS Code Pipeline and Code Build for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Utilize AWS Organizations and Systems Manager to manage and automate cloud resources effectively.
  • Conduct regular assessments using AWS Trusted Advisor and Well-Architected Framework to ensure best practices and compliance.
  • Implement AWS SSO for secure and efficient user access management across multiple AWS accounts.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture and processes to support knowledge sharing and training.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and provide recommendations for optimization and cost management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business objectives and deliver impactful solutions.
  • EC2 metrics -Patching & SSM - Based on the EC2 metrics and reports, ensure all the eligible instances should be managed by SSM, Support and Educate users in Patching the instances using Patch Manager, Maintain and update the Documentation on Patching.
  • Maintain & manage monthly EC2 Golden Image release, monitor GI pipeline, Review the automated test results, Check if any Critical unknown Vulnerabilities from the report and act, accordingly, Create the release log
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards to protect company and customer information.

Required skills: what you need to be considered

  • Possess a strong understanding of AWS Cloud services and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing serverless applications utilizing services i.e. Step Functions, AWS Lambda, Cloudwatch, KMS, Secrets Manager etc.
  • Have experience with AWS Code Pipeline and Code Build for CI/CD implementation.
  • Show proficiency in AWS Organizations and Systems Manager for resource management.
  • Be knowledgeable in AWS Trusted Advisor and Well-Architected Framework for best practices.
  • Understand AWS SSO for secure user access management.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Proficiency in CICD tools – Gitlab, GitHub, Jenkins
  • Proficiency in IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools - CloudFormation Terraform

Total Compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $90,000.00 –$105,000.00 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client office in Vancouver, BC.
