About The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle across Canada. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support in areas such as employee relations, policy administration, compliance, recruiting and onboarding. About The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle across Canada. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support in areas such as employee relations, policy administration, compliance, recruiting and onboarding. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for employees and managers providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment-related matters
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional HR legislation
- Maintain employee records using various HR systems and electronic files
- Build and format reports and documents to support business and HR leaders
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of job changes, terminations, compensation changes, etc. into global systems
- Assist in administering performance management processes and documentation
- Support training and development initiatives, including ensuring completion of online requirements
- Participate in and support employee engagement and recognition programs
- Coordinate and support new hire onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth employee experience
- Coordinate recruitment activities during high volume seasons as required
- Assist to resolve workplace issues in collaboration with senior HR leadership
- Contribute to the development, communication and consistent application of HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate HR communications across Canada
- Coordinate annual national activities including service awards and recognition programs
- Promote a positive, inclusive and respectful work culture that reflects ALS values
- Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of employment legislation including employment standards, human rights and
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build trust and credibility
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive matters
- Proficient with HR systems, Microsoft 365, and other AI tools and applications
- Comfortable working with regional teams in office, remote or hybrid environments
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant HR experience in an HR Generalist or Coordinator role
- CPHR designation or progress toward certification is an asset
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
- Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities
- Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 7.5 hours per day
- Ability to communicate via telephone and email without assistance

Our Benefits Include
- An estimated annual salary ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
