This hybrid role is based out of our Montreal HQ, with flexibility for remote work. On-site presence may be required for team planning sessions or strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do
If you're a passionate, proactive technical expert who thrives on solving tough problems and mentoring others, we want to hear from you! Apply today to join us and help Canadians succeed online.

What You'll Do
- Transform Data into Impact - Partner with business stakeholders to surface the metrics that matter. Build pipelines and systems that connect data to insight—and insight to action.
- Enable Data-Driven Thinking - Work with product, marketing, finance, and support teams to provide timely, reliable data that improves decision-making and deepens customer understanding.
- Architect Smart Systems - Design and enhance data infrastructure, from ingestion to storage, ensuring it’s optimized for speed, scale, and maintainability.
- Build for Quality - Implement validation, testing, and data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all layers of our data stack.
- Support AI & Automation - Help identify and implement automation opportunities—such as ticket classification, churn prediction, or user segmentation—by working closely with cross-functional teams and integrating ML-ready datasets.
- Bridge Internal & External Data - Integrate third-party APIs, real-time streams, and internal sources to create a unified data landscape that drives business and client value.
- Document & Democratize - Create clear documentation, maintain lineage, and support data governance practices so that every team at WHC can access and trust the data they need.
- You have 3+ years of experience in Python or PHP and 5+ years with SQL (MySQL).
- You have 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- You are experienced with vector databases, NoSQL, and understand data embeddings and classification.
- You think data-first but always tie your work back to business needs and client impact.
- You are pragmatic and curious - you ask great questions, not just build fast answers.
- You can communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
- You are excited about AI and automation - not just as buzzwords, but as tools to make things better.
- Strong grasp of statistical concepts is expected, including practical understanding of distributions, percentiles, heuristics, and data-driven decision-making under uncertainty.
