About The Role

We are looking for an Operational Excellence Business Advisor to join our growing team.

The Business Process Improvement Team (BPI) supports belairdirect. to deliver on their targets by driving change and delivering initiatives that reduce cost, increase efficiency and improve the customer and employee experience. We work on projects that deliver in year savings and initiatives that drive long term results.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying and delivering process improvement initiatives across the organization. This position involves working in collaboration with a diverse team of operations primes, subject matter experts and process excellence specialists.

Your ability to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset will be critical as you act as an overall representative of the Claims organization. As a natural self-starter with a fine eye for detail, you have a passion for process improvement.

Location: Laval, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, St. Johns

What You’ll Do Here

  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives from ideation through to implementation and control of solutions
  • Manage multiple projects defining the project scope and goals, selecting the appropriate methods and tools, manage the project resources and risks ensuring the project delivers the projected benefits on time and on scope
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to map current state and define future state using a process improvement framework
  • Advocate change in the business as it relates to satisfying our strategic objectives and enhancing both employee and customer experience
  • Recommend improvements which increase efficiency and effectiveness based on data and facts
  • Build strong cross functional relationships to help drive change
  • Conduct or support cost benefit analysis activities
  • Lead meetings and create presentations on project progress
  • Promote and apply best practices in Process improvement and change management
  • Help deliver on operational efficiency target
  • Collaborate with management teams and business partners

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • (5+ years) Experience Identifying and Implementing Continuous improvement & Lean initiatives
  • Experience in the Insurance industry
  • Lean Six Sigma certification strongly preferred, will also consider a combination of applied experience / education
  • Experience driving change within a large, complex multi stakeholder business environment balancing competing objectives
  • Ability to identify opportunities, build business cases and get cross-functional alignment
  • Driven self starter with the ability to Lead, Collaborate and Influence with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in problem solving skills and Root cause analysis is essential
  • Excellent (pro active) communicator and strong presentation skills
  • A desire to tackle challenges head on keep forward momentum
  • Ability to learn quickly and think strategically to challenge the status quo
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to draw conclusions and apply them effectively
  • No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
