Purpose:
Osgoode Professional Development (OsgoodePD) is a revenue-generating professional education department of Osgoode Hall Law School, operating within a highly competitive commercial market for professional and executive continuing education. OsgoodePD offers degree and non-degree programs to both local and international students. Offerings include full-time and part-time graduate degree LLMs, non-degree certificates, seminars and skills workshops, summer school and bridging programs, webinars, and custom training for corporations and government. Staff and programs are located at both the York University campus and OsgoodePD's downtown Toronto office.Under the direction of the Manager, Marketing, the Marketing Automation and CRM Specialist will be tasked with introducing and maintaining a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and new email marketing system to build an automation strategy for the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) arm of the OsgoodePD business. The role will be responsible for all aspects of email marketing â?? including user journeys, automated workflows, personalization, segmenting lists, email design, copy, and analytics. The role will reimagine current workflows and collaborate with various partners to introduce a new system. The role will also find ways to integrate existing academic programs CRM (Salesforce) by building a pipeline between CLE and graduate programs. Finally, the role will assist with strategy and campaign planning across various areas of OsgoodePD. The role must be a process-driven problem solver who utilizes their analytical and technical skills in the field of CRM systems, email automation and project coordination, with an ability to tactically integrate email communications with traditional and digital marketing campaigns.

Education:
University degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing or an equivalent of 4 years recent experience (defined as within the last 5 years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlines below. Completion of relevant certifications (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketing, Marketo Certified Expert).

Experience:
Three (3) years of recent experience (within the last five years) in a similar role that includes direct, hands-on responsibility for implementing email automation using a CRM system such as Salesforce and developing the associated business processes. Experience with planning, testing, and executing communication workflows and automations. Requires experience with online monitoring and analytics platforms (Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Hootsuite), email marketing tools (Emma or Mailchimp, etc.). Project management systems (Asana), and copywriting aimed at conversation optimization is required.

Skills:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills including diplomacy and professionalism in interactions with internal and external partners.
Demonstrated ability to create content including the ability to develop concise, persuasive email copy.
Effective writing, and editing skills including attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective organizational and project management skills (Asana).
Good record-keeping skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure of demands and deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective analytical skills for gathering, synthesizing and interpreting data for reports and action.
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to use email communications to achieve business objectives, including reputation management.
Knowledge of holistic marketing campaign strategies for direct marketing to professional audiences.
Advanced, in-depth knowledge and experience with CRM tools (Salesforce).
Advanced, in-depth knowledge and experience with email automation tools (Marketo or HubSpot).
Demonstrated proficiency in email marketing best practices and knowledge of emerging trends in digital communications, with particular focus on AI.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Demonstrated experience in marketing performance measurement, benchmarking, and ROI analysis.
Effective analytical skills for gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting data for reports and action (including using Google Analytics).
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant policies and standards such as Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Website Content Accessibility Guide (WCAG), EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDRP) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
