Your job
- Analyze and understand existing trading technologies and innovations in the sector, both internally and externally
- Review, test and deploy market data flows and order entry systems, provide day-to-day support for electronic trading platforms and all their technical components
- Actively participate in engineering design discussions and produce the necessary functional and design deliverables
- Meet business needs by breaking down requests, estimating the effort required and ensuring continuous delivery based on agile principles
- Continuously improve technological performance by optimising processes and identifying effective solutions, monitor technology, propose innovative ideas and participate in their evaluation and implementation
- Take charge of post-market activities, such as managing drop copies and monitoring related operations
- Work closely with internal partners and external suppliers in all aspects of the role
- Rigorously document support, maintenance and referral activities using the tools provided

Prerequisites
- A university degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
- Experience in software development (an asset)
- Good knowledge of trading systems (EMS, OMS, SOR) and Canadian financial markets (an asset)
- Proficient in the Linux environment and Python language (an important asset)
- Knowledge of C++ (an asset)
- Strong ability to manage priorities in a dynamic and pressured environment
