presently seeking a Legal Contracts Assistant.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, the Legal Contracts Assistant will provide comprehensive
administrative and legal support to the legal department and related teams. This role is responsible for managing
the end-to-end contract process, across the organization’s portfolio. The assistant ensures accurate
documentation, tracks key deadlines, and maintains compliance with legal and company standards. Acting as a
key point of contact, the Legal Contracts Assistant also upholds confidentiality, promotes efficiency, and
contributes to process improvements while supporting legal operations and departmental goals.

As the Legal Contracts Assistant, your work will include:

  • Contract Support
o Provide administrative assistance in contract matters, including document preparation and

review.
o Maintain the contract filing and tracking system for construction and non-operational contracts,

ensuring accurate and complete records of contracts and supporting documentation.
o Build and maintain relationships with external contractors and internal teams, proactively

communicating to ensure contract preparation, execution and delivery of required materials.
  • Administrative & Departmental Support

o Provide administrative support to the legal department and related teams.
o Develop and maintain efficient administrative systems and procedures, recommending

improvements to workflow and processes.
o Performing general duties such as typing, filing, data entry and invoice processing.
o Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and finalizing documents, reports, and

correspondence.
o Coordinate and support meetings, including preparing agendas and detailed minutes.
o Track and manage important deadlines and manage calendars.

  • Communication & Collaboration
o Collaborate across departments and staff to support smooth workflows.
o Ensure confidentiality and maintain the highest level of integrity when handling sensitive files.


What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with MS Office suite.
  • Previous experience in a law firm, government or in-house legal setting as a paralegal, legal assistant or
contracts administrator would be considered an asset.
