Our client is seeking a Driver Manager to oversee and support the daily performance of a team of professional drivers. This role is responsible for scheduling, training, and performance monitoring to ensure safety compliance, operational efficiency, and exceptional service standards.

Responsibilities

Driver Oversight: Manage and coordinate daily driver activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, delivery routes, and company standards.

Performance Management: Monitor key performance indicators such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and safety compliance.

Training & Development: Deliver onboarding and ongoing training to drivers, reinforcing safety protocols, customer service expectations, and company policies.

Scheduling & Dispatch: Create and adjust driver schedules based on availability, operational demands, and regulatory guidelines.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all drivers comply with relevant transportation laws, including hours of service, inspections, and vehicle maintenance requirements.

Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve concerns related to driver behavior, delivery challenges, and customer feedback.

Communication Liaison: Act as the key contact between drivers and management, fostering clear communication and teamwork.

Safety Leadership: Promote a safety-first culture through regular meetings, training sessions, and proactive initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; valid AZ license for over 10 years with a clean driving abstract.
  • Prior experience in driver or fleet management; experience with tanker and heavy haul operations is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with transportation management systems and GPS tracking; familiarity with Samsara is a strong advantage.

Work Environment: Approximately 60% field-based and 40% office-based.

Availability: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required to meet operational demands.
