In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, supervising and mentoring team members, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting safety and excellence in care delivery.

About The Role

Casual on-call opening: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

As a Clinical Lead, you’ll work under the direction of the Director of Care as a key member of our interdisciplinary team. You will be responsible for resident assessments, care planning, medication administration, and supervising care staff. You’ll also play a vital role in ensuring safety protocols are followed, infection control standards are maintained, and clinical documentation is completed with accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Person-Centered Care Deliver compassionate nursing care aligned with Baptist Housing’s values and professional standards
  • Lead Clinical Assessments and Care Planning Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate resident outcomes
  • Support and Supervise Staff Mentor care team members and guide daily clinical operations
  • Ensure Safety and Infection Control Monitor risks, report incidents, and promote infection prevention protocols
  • Coordinate Resident Transitions Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges with care and efficiency
  • Foster Interdisciplinary Collaboration Work closely with physicians and care teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation Ensure timely and thorough clinical documentation using electronic records
  • Participate in Quality and Emergency Preparedness Engage in team meetings, quality initiatives, and lead emergency responses
  • Model Professionalism and Integrity Demonstrate leadership, empathy, and ethical care in all interactions

Your work location is in the seaside city of White Rock. Our Evergreen community is located at 1550 Oxford Street.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an approved school
  • Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • CPR Level C and First Aid Level 2 certifications
  • WHMIS and Infection Control training (IPAC)
  • At least one year of experience in geriatric, complex, or long-term care preferred
  • Proficiency with InterRai assessments, clinical documentation, and Microsoft Word
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to the person-centered care philosophy

Your expertise extends to medication administration, standard precautions, adherence to healthcare protocols, prioritizing safety, and unwavering quality in every action. You possess a unique skill set that includes assessing functional and cognitive status, managing equipment, and adeptly utilizing office technology. You are also well-versed in pharmacological therapies, the Wellness Model, legal documentation, and the complex intricacies of the healthcare system at various levels. You are competent, compassionate, and have an unwavering commitment to the well-being of those you serve.

Compensation & Benefits

  • We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $41.42 to $55.91 for Level 3 Registered Nurses (RNs), plus an in-charge rate when working as Clinical Lead, along with the opportunity to work in a supportive and caring community
