Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of Electrical Engineers and Senior Electrical Designers.
- Provide technical oversight and ensure alignment with customer, regulatory, and internal engineering standards.
- Drive team performance in meeting cost, schedule, and design quality objectives across all programs.
- Mentor, develop, and conduct performance evaluations for engineering team members.
- Where delegated, approve engineering designs and ensure airworthiness compliance through appropriate findings.
- Create and enforce engineering design standards that promote consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement by organizing training sessions, capturing lessons learned, and promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
- Serve as a key member of the Electrical Design Board, contributing to discipline-wide technical growth and business alignment.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure program goals, milestones, and deliverables are met.
- Prepare cost estimates for both recurring and non-recurring engineering efforts.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by working with Marketing and Business Development teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven expertise in leading engineering teams through complex design, development, and certification processes.
- Deep knowledge of airworthiness requirements, design compliance, and electrical systems integration in aerospace applications
- Minimum 7 years of progressive engineering experience in the aerospace sector, with a focus on electrical systems design.
- Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience, ideally in a regulated engineering environment.
- Hands-on involvement in aircraft modification, avionics integration, or certification programs.
- Experience working with Transport Canada or FAA certification standards.
- Previous contributions to the development of engineering training, design guides, or process documentation.
- Exposure to international aerospace projects or multi-site team leadership.
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, or other electrical design and modeling software.

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- P.Eng designation or eligibility is considered a strong asset.
