What YOU Will Do

  • Perform and ensure proper completion of all avionics activities as assigned by management
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electrical systems and equipment
  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft electronic systems and components including communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment
  • Inspect and test aircraft instrument, electrical and avionics systems
  • Ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate
  • Ensure that all components installed on aircraft are properly certified
  • Carry out duties as per the appropriate Aircraft Maintenance manuals and ensure conformity to Transport Canada regulatory standards
  • Attend training courses as required by management and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Occasionally will be assigned “M” related hands-on duties such as disassembling aircraft systems, removal of defective components and installing replacement parts, components and structures
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What You Bring

  • A valid Transport Canada “E” license is required
  • Experienced with troubleshooting and repairing Avionics components and associated aircraft systems
  • Experience in aircraft periodic inspections and heavy inspections
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret technical publications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical drawings and blueprints
  • Solid knowledge of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, aircraft structures and basic applied mechanics will be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience performing a large variety of tasks relating to many aspects of aircraft maintenance
  • A highly self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to be an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse team
  • Strong judgement and problem solving skills with ability to apply to the work
  • 5-5-4 schedule flexible to work overtime and weekends
  • Must qualify for a RAIC and AVOP passes
  • Ontario driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional travel may be required
