16 Months Contract Role

What you'll do:

  • Support and assist the Regional Maintenance Manager & Assistant Manager in the below functions:
  • Lead the safety culture within the area and ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Consistently monitor and report on fleet utilization and downtime
  • Work with local management to streamline completion of equipment
  • Audit DVIR reporting and ensure all noted deficiencies are dealt with accordingly
  • Work with regional management to ensure PM compliance is current and consistent
  • Manage area specific fleet related Invoice entry, review & approval
  • Maintain preventative maintenance of transport equipment.
  • Maintain records in areas of maintenance repairs, safety, environmental and audits.
  • Plan and maintain PM services and Annual Inspections on trailers, reefer and tractors.
  • Monitors maintenance and upkeep data to ensure low operating costs.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are completed and closed in a timely matter.
  • Follow up with after-hours calls daily to ensure assets are up and running next day.
  • Manage Claims for equipment damage for west and FaaS

What you bring:

  • Must have strong organizational, project planning and supervisory skills.
  • Previous experience in administration & purchasing is a definite asset.
  • Previous supervisory experience in transportation
  • Experience in transport equipment, with a good working knowledge reefers, trailers, and tractors
  • A knowledge of general transport maintenance
