Business Analyst

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for Business Analysts to support the decommissioning of several legacy loan management systems. They will be converting existing loan data from several legacy systems to a new COTS solution and Oracle Fusion/Financials.

Responsibilities:

• Converting existing loans data from several legacy loan systems to the new COTS solution using vendor-supplied data loaders.

• Collaborating with the project team, multiple departments, and the external vendor to produce interface specifications for communication between the COTS solution and various external systems such as financial platforms, financial institutions, and other departments or organizations.

• Leading facilitated sessions to gather content, document, and obtain consensus for the remaining configuration and technical specifications related to data conversion and interfaces.

• Identifying risks, issues, and conflicts arising from business change requirements.

• Maintaining a working knowledge of the selected COTS solution.

• Working with the Quality Assurance team(s) to ensure successful testing of the data conversion and interfaces.

• Collaborating with the Trainer/Change Manager to ensure effective training related to data conversion and interfaces.

• Supporting the project team in meeting project deadlines.

• Assisting with the deployment of the solution to production.

• Participating in status meetings and other working group meetings as required.

• Assisting in the creation of user guides, SOPs, and other supporting documentation.

• Performing other Business Analyst duties as needed.

• The conversion of existing loans data from several legacy loan systems to the new COTS solution using vendor-supplied dataloaders.

• The development of interfaces for communication between the COTS solution and various external systems such as financial platforms, financial institutions, and other departments or organizations.

• The creation of user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other supporting documents for use by the maintenance and support team.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst supporting information systems specific to government service delivery agencies.

• A minimum of 3 years of IM/IT experience on projects involving data conversion and/or interface specifications between systems.

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.

• Experience performing Senior Business Analyst activities, such as facilitating workshops, capturing business/user requirements, process design activities, and IT solution implementations.

• Demonstrated minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst.

• Demonstrated minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting information systems specific to government service delivery agencies.

• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams that include a mix of in-house and external stakeholders and vendors.

• Experience producing interface specifications used to communicate with external systems, such as financial platforms, financial institutions, or other government departments or corporations.

• Experience migrating data from legacy IT systems. (Note: Higher scoring will be awarded to candidates with COBOL experience.)

• Experience in any of the following areas:

• Working in the housing sector and/or with housing management systems

• Delivery and management of financial systems, including those involving small-to-large loans

• Working with Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions
