What You'll be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing new sales opportunities using outbound cold emails, cold calls and lead follow-ups.
  • Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities.
  • Answering customers’ questions, resolving their concerns and providing additional information via calls and emails.
  • Maintaining and improving the database of prospects and researching for new leads.
  • Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers.
  • Enter customer information and notes from outbound sales calls into the CRM.
  • Lead follow up from online requests and counter leads.
  • Monitor underutilized fleet and communicate opportunities with sales team.
  • Identify any opportunities for used fleet dispersal.
  • Review dormant accounts and re-engage as required.
  • Continually monitor online databases like Construct Connect and MERX and assign opportunities to applicable sales Representatives.
  • Assist with customer events as required.
  • Further your sales skills by applying learned techniques relating to the various stages of the sales process (i.e., prospecting, discovery, overcoming objections, closing, etc.)
  • Identify potential sales leads/ opportunities/ jobsites and pass off to the respected Branch Rental Representative or Account Manager.



What You will Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a customer service, sales, or similar role in the equipment rental industry or a closely related industry.
  • Strong drive for results and very customer oriented with excellent prospecting and needs analysis skills.
  • Passion for sales and customer service, and a desire to learn and develop as a sales professional.
  • Outgoing personality and ability to conduct cold calls to generate new business.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; both in-person and over the phone.
  • Very comfortable with computers - knowledge of Systematic, CRM systems & Microsoft Office is a definite asset.
  • Solid team player and self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
