Marketing Specialist (Copywriter)

Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role: Reporting to Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for supporting national marketing in its creative copywriting development, product storytelling, external communications. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, adept at creating consistent and compelling messaging across the enterprise to drive marketing objectives forward and enhance corporate branding .

• Major Responsibilities: Collaborate with national marketing function teams to develop and implement marketing creative assets, promotional strategies, and customer-facing communications.
• Provide copywriting support for the planning and execution of marketing instore retail signage development, social media enhancement, key promotion and event calendar, category storytelling, and T&T private label new product packaging design and product introduction.
• Support press releases to promote company news, initiatives, and provide copywriting support to marketing communication team.
• Manage corporate website including the content development and timely updates to enhance corporate branding image.

• Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: 5-8 years of experience in creative marketing, communications, or public relations.
• Strong writing skills, and creative thinking with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
• Comprehensive understanding of both Western and Asian cultures.
• Ability to effectively build relationships and collaborate across different business units
• Confident and strong communicator with all levels of the team, including executives
• Energetic, self-motivated and an ability to perform under pressure, strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Previous experience in the retail business is highly desirable
