Make an impact with our Indigenous Services Human Resources team as a Consultant. This diverse team of professionals works with more than 250 Indigenous peoples, groups and organizations across Canada and shares a passion for learning and understanding their history, culture and contributions to our country. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.

Our clients include various First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities as well as Indigenous organizations and associations across the country. We support our clients to develop strategic, business and operational plans that are thoughtful as much as engagement driven. Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements with a focus on organization and people services in the Indigenous, private, public, and not-for-profit sectors
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed research and data collection, interviews, focus groups and surveys
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Lead and support client implementation of new processes and tools through training and coaching
  • Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Lead engagement teams, developing effective relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Support the design and development of high-quality deliverables including proposals, engagement letters, reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Participate in business development initiatives
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary


Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources management, business, organizational development, organizational psychology, behavioural sciences or other related field
  • CPHR, Prosci, CMC, PMP or other related designations or certifications are considered an asset
  • 3 to 4 years of human capital experience, ideally in a consulting and client-service environment
  • Strong coaching and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
