VPI is a Service Provider for Employment Ontario, which is funded by the Ontario Government to support jobseekers and employers. VPI has been delivering employment programs for more than 30 years. We are based in Mississauga and have 17 branches across Southern Ontario. We are looking for a Permanent Full-time, Employment Services Coordinator based out of our Head Office in Mississauga. This position is hybrid-remote


Key Job Functions

  • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism to our employer and community partners and referrals.
  • Manage end to end process for job vacancy sharing (posting, closing, follow up, admin, reporting)
  • Ensure that required paperwork, data, tracking etc is completed appropriately in a timely manner
  • Plan, promote and execute events that engage employers to support them in meeting their labor market needs, including job fairs and information sessions
  • Place a high priority on supporting and building a sustainable relationship with employers
  • Consistent collaboration with the branch throughout the lifecycle of our clients
  • Other duties pertaining to the position, as required


Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge and experience in providing workforce development information to employers; assessing employer needs and recommending appropriate support and local resources
  • Experience working in an outcome / target-based environment
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills with a proven sales aptitude
  • Strong digital literacy skills including Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills; ability to prioritize
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal communications skills, comfortable presenting information in group settings
  • Proven event management skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as work within a team
  • Knowledge of local labor market trends
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Results driven with creative approach to idea generation and problem solving
  • Ability to working in fast paced environment with changing workloads
