COIL Pump Supervisor

Summary
The position of Pump Supervisor is responsible for understanding of operating procedures, has thorough knowledge of rig-in/rig-out processes, lease set-ups, iron requirements, monthly D-meter inspections. Mechanically inclined and knowledgeable of the equipment. Operation of the fluid pump including maintaining records. Knowledge of the equipment, inputs well data, general computer skills. Responsible to ensure job instructions are followed while monitoring progress.
Promotes safety and demonstrates safe work habits to crew members, responsible for executing appropriate steps in emergency situation.
Job Duties
- Responsible for lease set up of fluid pumping equipment
- Proven understanding of iron maximum rates and pressures
- Exceptional knowledge of the company equipment
- Liaison between the customer and company respecting the job
- Participation in monthly inspections of D-meter iron, including proficiency of Element’s Iron Management Program.
- Rebuilding, resetting pressure and regular maintenance of various valves including understanding of fluid direction and valve placements.
- Familiarity with the different types of fluid systems
- Maintains records for safety equipment
- Provides training and mentorship of less experienced co-workers
- Knowledge of rig-in/rig-out and operating procedures
- Troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance as necessary
- Oversee and participate in equipment and pump maintenance
- Maintenance records kept up using the Maintenance Report
- Knowledge of the CVIP requirements
- Responsible for performing DFIT and record the job
- Element Technical Systems (EBS) actions including opening/closing out work order timesheets (WOT).
- Understanding of the Emergency Shut Down Procedures
- Identifies and becomes familiar with the scope of each job
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
- Lead and attend pre-job safety meetings
- Maintains effective communication with co-workers
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, fatigue management
Requirements
- Class 1 driver's license with Air brake endorsement
- Satisfactory driving record
- Prior experience an asset
- Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
- Use of timelines and time management
- High level of personal integrity
- Strong work ethic
- Mature demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Work independently in a busy environment and diverse environment

Work Conditions
- Rotation schedules vary 14/7
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Travel to off-site locations required
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. coveralls, steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
