Mechanical Piping Designer

Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Piping Designer in the engineering, procurement consulting industry in a hybrid work environment in Burlington, Ontario.

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Piping Designer to join their team in Burlington. This is a hybrid work environment - 3 days in office / 2 days remote. This role will be focused on Industrial and Infrastructure projects.

A Typical Day

• Progressive experience with detailed industrial piping systems
• Preparation of piping isometrics, line lists, and material take-offs.
• Experience in the preparation of mechanical equipment layouts and general arrangement plans and sections.
• Preparation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams. Knowledge of material specifications and standards.
• Field experience safely obtaining existing site information regarding pipe routing, arrangements, supports, and sizes to develop background drawings with limited assistance.
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• 10 - 20 years of piping design experience within a consulting engineering firm working on industrial and/or chemical plant projects.
• Diploma, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (Process Piping Major) or a Process Piping Drafting Certificate
• Strong communication skills - client facing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D
• Previous project experienced related to - Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas & Chemical manufacturing
