Studio & Events Coordinator – 12 Month Contract
The UMC team works four days a week from our award-winning creative campus located in Liberty Village, Toronto, and one day to work virtually.
Reporting to the Director, Venue & Studio Operations, the Studio & Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the day to day function of a recording studio and performance venue. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for music and enjoy working in a key support role within a team environment.
How You’ll Lead
- Booking and scheduling of 80A Studios and 80A The Academy at Universal Music
- Handle all invoicing and collection of payments from 80A Studios and The Academy clients
- Handle all external payments for gear procurement / expenses
- Coordinate hospitality/staffing for internal and external events held in The Academy
- Be an outgoing and welcoming ambassador for 80A Studios clients and Artists
- Manage client communication and retention
- Oversee supplies/stationary, hospitality stock of venue and studio
- Handle all studio correspondence and manage social media accounts
- Back up A&R colleagues on billing when needed
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- 1-2 Years of event experience in hospitality or production
- Passion for Live Events, activations and client care
- Ability to work independently on events and projects
- A task-based mindset and work ethic
- Reliable, motivated and enthusiastic personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization, planning and prioritizing skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Studio administration experience an asset
