Reports to Shipping and Receiving Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for:

• Performing daily inspections of lift trucks, and completing the required forms.

• Ensuring lift truck maintenance and servicng requirements are met.

• Loading and unloading goods in a safe and efficient manner.

• Maintaining contact with supervisor(s), and working to resolve issues as they arise.

• Acting as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.

• Following all regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Required Skills:

The Shipper/Receivers are required to have:

• A minimum of one year of forklift operation experience – having a license is an asset.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to read English.

• Knowledge of basic mathematics.

• Basic hand tool skills.

• The ability to work in cold conditions.

• The ability to stay highly organized.

Shipper and Receivers are required to work six days a week, Monday through Friday, flexibility is a key part of this position and Saturday or Sunday shifts maybe be required. They are required to have their own transportation, to and from work.
