The Fire Alarm Technician - Level 1 is a full-time hourly position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Progression to Fire Alarm Trainee (Level 2) is expected upon the completion of CFAA prerequisite courses and demonstrated competency.

The Fire Alarm Technician - Level 1 is a team player and a vital member of Classic Fire + Life Safety’s team.
The Fire Alarm Technician - Level 1 is a full-time hourly position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist Fire Alarm Technicians with weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections as required.
- Help with service work and repairs on fire alarm systems under the supervision of Fire Alarm Technicians.
- Assist with shop duties as required.
- Enroll in and complete CFAA training courses and exams toward registration as a Fire Alarm Technician.
- Inspect, test, maintain, and repair emergency lighting, extinguishers, and fire hoses.
- Deliver and pick up extinguishers, hoses, and other equipment or materials as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a high level of electronic aptitude.
- Motivated to serve and participate in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Customer-focused with strong communication abilities.
- Experience in the fire alarm industry is an asset but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights, on lifts, and ladders as required for inspections and installations.
- Ability to work in various environments (e.g., indoors, outdoors, mechanical rooms).
Progression to Fire Alarm Trainee (Level 2) is expected upon the completion of CFAA prerequisite courses and demonstrated competency.
