The Payroll & Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for administrative work, supporting the entire Human Resources team, with a strong focus on payroll and health and safety related tasks. The Human Resources team works to actively support approximately 1000 hourly and salaried associates while ensuring high quality customer service in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Duties & Responsibilities- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on schedule
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HRIS (My ADP) and payroll system (ADP WFN) access and usage
- Provide administrative support across HR functions, including drafting communications, distributing letters, managing reports and spreadsheets, filing, and maintaining data within HRIS
- Monitor and address payroll and HR-related inquiries from an employee base of approximately 1,000 associates
- Ensure payroll records and HRIS accurately reflect employee information, including new hires, contractual changes, welcome communications, changes in personal details, vacation and leave tracking, and other updates
- Participate in weekly new hire orientation sessions to assist with onboarding
- Upload and transition personnel files and documents into the ADP system
- Collaborate with payroll team members to implement process improvements and support ongoing tasks or projects
- Maintain and track security license expiry dates to ensure compliance
- Prepare and deliver payroll and HR-related reports to the finance team and relevant departments
- University degree in Business admin or HR designation preferred.
- 2+ years of work experience administration or payroll in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Experience working with payroll or ADP WFN platforms is an asset.
- Work well in a fast-paced, strategic, and results-oriented department.
- Exceptional attention to detail and dedicated follow-ups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs & Office 365.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a rapidly changing very fast paced ambiguous environment,
- The ability to meet tight deadlines while producing quality and consistent work.
