Supervisor


Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking a temporary supervisor to join our team! This position will provide support in our DaCapo department. In this role, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of front-line staff and ensure designated residential, employment, and community access services are provided in accordance with established standards. This includes client programming, planning, goal development, administrative duties, personnel management, and providing direction as a part of a rotating on-call system.

Supervisors will:


  • ensure client services are consistently delivered and guided, with appropriate intervention techniques implemented in a manner that respects each individual’s culture, heritage, identity, and related factors,
  • complete all necessary administrative work related to client services and personnel management,
  • ensure personnel meet training requirements and receive regular performance evaluations,
  • maintain staffing levels to ensure excellent service provision which may include screening and interviewing candidates according to established procedures,
  • mentor, coach, and supervise clients and personnel,
  • provide direct services as required,
  • acquire adequate knowledge of all clients served by DaCapo to provide competent directions to personnel requiring on-call support, and
  • oversee an established supported employment service utilizing best practice, an extensive knowledge of inclusive employment, and an eye towards innovation.

Required skills and qualifications:


  • human services degree, and/or rehabilitation diploma, and/or related diploma,
  • 2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities,
  • previous supervisory experience is an asset,
  • previous experience with employment services,
  • demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with the capability of motivating/supporting teams,
  • excellent written and oral communication skills, and
  • reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance ($2,000,000 liability insurance).

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday – Temporary (6 months)
