Who You Are
The CMIO will report directly to the Vice President of Digital Health and Chief Information Officer (CIO) with a dotted-line to the Vice President of Medical Operations, playing a pivotal role in shaping Oak Valley Health’s digital future.
The CMIO is expected to serve in administrative capacity two days a week separate from their clinical services.

The CMIO will report directly to the Vice President of Digital Health and Chief Information Officer (CIO) with a dotted-line to the Vice President of Medical Operations, playing a pivotal role in shaping Oak Valley Health’s digital future.
- Lead the seamless integration of our electronic medical record (EMR) and ancillary systems into medical workflows;
- Drive provider engagement and change management to accelerate the adoption of digital health solutions;
- Champion innovative digital solutions that strengthen the interface between providers and technology;
- Collaborate across teams and key stakeholder groups internally and externally to identify opportunities and drive strategic and targeted improvements;
- Provide leadership as a key contributor in the development and implementation of a comprehensive roadmap to advance our organization through the EMRAM stages—ensuring each milestone is achieved; from fundamental capabilities to advanced functions (e.g. closed‐loop medication management and predictive analytics);
- Act as a strategic liaison between the Digital Health portfolio and medical leadership, communicating progress, risks, and outcomes;
- Chair and serve on relevant digital health committees.
- An independent license or eligibility for independent practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario;
- Must either be a current member of the Board Appointed Professional Staff, or be eligible and prepared to move their clinical practice to Oak Valley Health, with the expectation of obtaining full active privileges and establishing their full-time clinical work at the organization;
- Advanced degree or formal training in Business, Health Informatics, or Health Administration preferred
- Strong change-management skills and a proven track record of driving provider engagement and adoption of digital solutions;
- Direct experience with EMRAM assessment and stage advancement preferred.
