Jardeg is recruiting a Journeyperson Insulator to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Albian site near Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Come be a part of an outstanding team working with industry leaders who have been executing work at the Albian site for over a decade. This is a permanent full time role starting July 30th. The rotation is 7 days on and 7 days off on day shift. Flights are from Edmonton and Calgary with accommodation provided.

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Insulation Material Coordinator to serve as the key liaison between the warehouse and insulation teams. This role ensures the accurate handling, tracking, and staging of insulation materials, maintains inventory integrity within the Maximo Inventory Management System, and supports field operations by minimizing material-related delays. The successful candidate will be a reliable, proactive communicator who can operate with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Coordination & Inventory Control:
  • Maintain and regularly audit the shop material log and ensure compliance by others.
  • Ensure materials are issued accurately.
  • Ensure inventory records (shop log and Maximo) match through regular audits.
  • Manage returned materials and ensure proper documentation
  • Understand and track hard reserves in the inventory system.
  • Material Staging & Distribution:
  • Receive and fulfill pick lists provided by the foremen.
  • Prioritize field requests and deliver materials efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Tag and stage materials 24 hours prior to required date unless otherwise approved.
  • Coordinate closely with foremen to confirm availability, drop locations, and return procedures.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with warehouse staff, value stream material coordinators, and other contractors.
  • Escalate any conflicting direction, discrepancies, or safety concerns to FCs promptly.
  • Provide thorough handovers to cross-shift counterparts.
  • Operational Support:
  • Support the insulation shop team with general tasks including lifting, organizing, cutting bands, making end caps, cutting gores etc.
  • Assist in field tasks as directed by FCs.
  • Aid external contractors in navigating insulation material processes and warehouse protocols.

Position Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  • CSTS 09 or CSO
  • Confined Space
  • Fall Protection
  • Basic Rigging
