Our three clinics are conveniently located in the South Mississauga, Financial District of Toronto, and Corktown/Durand area of Hamilton. We offer comprehensive outpatient services that focus on Assessment and Treatment/management for Addictions, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, ADHD, and more. Our clinics address diverse issues across various populations, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
About You
At BeWell Clinics, our Clinical Internship and Practicum Program serves as a premier training hub for Masters and Doctoral candidates. Our comprehensive program caters to students seeking to fulfill degree requirements in fields such as Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Education in Counselling Psychology.
At BeWell Clinics, students benefit from hands-on practicum experiences while receiving expert supervision from experienced clinicians. These practicum hours count toward meeting the requirements for registration with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the College of Psychologist and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
We're looking for individuals driven by a passion for helping others and who thrive in diverse environments. Our ideal candidate values collaborative teamwork within a collegial atmosphere. Initiative, integrity, and a professional demeanor are qualities we highly value. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. Minimum eligibility includes:
- Master's-level education in a related field.
- Yorkville applicants only: It's crucial for all assigned students to attain "RP (Qualifying)" status prior to your practicum start date to engage in psychotherapy for direct client contact hours as supervision is provided by a Clinical Psychologist.
- A trauma-informed approach is highly valued; candidates not yet trauma-certified should commit to obtaining certification within 6 months.
- Proficiency in technology is essential, including familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- A stable high-speed internet connection, a private home office, and the ability to conduct tele-therapy sessions are mandatory.
- Candidates must secure their own Student professional liability insurance.
- Participation in team meetings, occasional team-building activities, and group case reviews is expected.
- A minimum of two years of experience working or volunteering in mental health or a related field.
- You are available for at least 3 days a week, including evenings and weekend availability. It is expected that students will come into the clinic during their provided availability when in-person appointments are scheduled.
- A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
- Provide two work references.

- In-house workshops and specialized training sessions.
- Dedicated time allocated for attendance and involvement in conferences, talks, webinars, and diverse educational events.
- Access to a rich array of in-house resources to foster learning and growth, including opportunities to connect and learn from our multi-disciplinary clinicians.
- On a regular basis, students engage in enlightening experiences within our multidisciplinary team at BeWell Clinics. Our team comprises expert professionals in Psychiatry, Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Social Work, each specializing in various evidence-based treatments like CBT, DBT, Client-Centered Therapy, Emotion-focused therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy.
- Monthly clinical rounds foster interactive case presentations and discussions, allowing students to benefit from collective expertise. Moreover, weekly supervision sessions, led by the Director of Psychological Services or designated Supervisor, provide personalized support and mentorship.
- Access to a wealth of training resources is provided, including an extensive library of training videos, treatment manuals, and an array of enriching books, ensuring students have ample materials for comprehensive learning.
