PRIDE Seeds is currently seeking a focused and self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a full-time permanent Brand Marketing Supervisor.

Position Summary

As the PRIDE Seeds Marketing Strategist, you are accountable for the development and delivery of a clear and compelling brand message that drives growth in our key markets. In this role, you will develop and deliver our brand positioning, voice, and experience to farmers across Canada. You will be part of a winning team that is focused on delivering unique products, services, and trusted agronomy support to increase the yield and profitability of progressive Canadian farmers who are positioning themselves for future growth.

The Marketing Strategist together with the Canadian marketing team will be accountable for our performance in every phase of the brand funnel from awareness to advocacy, with a direct and significant impact on key business results. You will be seen as a leader and partner to the brand’s success. This role will help develop a complete brand strategy that leverages the 4P’s of marketing. This role will manage the entire paid media budget. The successful candidate will be available to travel to company events both in Canada and where required in the United States.

Responsibilites

  • Develop and detail an annual brand marketing budget.
  • Support and refine brand positioning, identifying key brand drivers and ensuring every brand message and asset clearly conveys this.
  • Help define and support our brand experience, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated in the marketplace.
  • Work cohesively with VP, Commercial, Sales Managers and Product Manager on the marketing strategy for the brand.
  • Work together with VP, Commercial, Sales Managers and Product Manager to ensure our seed sellers have the resources they need to deliver.
  • Supervise marketing team staff members.
  • Work cross-functionally with digital, content and design specialists/associates to deliver compelling content with a coordinated calendar.
  • Responsible for calendarizing and carrying out the marketing plan and developing and presenting a detailed budget which outlines the marketing spend.
  • Responsible for managing projects and keeping within budget.
  • Develop and implement tactical plans to increase brand awareness, such as brand campaigns, media plans, websites, social media, sponsorships, industry events and other communication mediums.
  • Work closely with leadership, sales, product, and agronomy teams to develop plans and clearly communicate back through the organization effectively.
  • Manage the promotion of product performance and plot data.
  • Represent marketing within brand, to be seen as an expert in your field and a trusted colleague and partner.
  • Align with the team members that will manage the promotion of the brand through promotional items, and through static and customizable print resources available via our online store.
  • Partner with digital marketing and third-party resources to review analytics on all campaigns to measure success and translate the data into usable information that influences strategy and tactics.
  • Excel in a high-paced environment, manages multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Direct projects as necessary with analytical and design knowledge.
  • Lead corporate and brand event planning and execution including annual sales meetings, tradeshows, internal meetings, and others as they arise.
  • Participate in trade shows, trial tours and retail meetings to provide product performance insights and updates.
  • Maintain a vast knowledge base of the Canadian market.
  • Duties may be added and amended by the Company as may be reasonably required.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field.
  • Experience managing marketing budget and staff.
  • Agriculture background preferred.
  • Experience in the seed industry.
  • Employment experience in social media preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English is preferred.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and HubSpot.
  • Marketing thought leader with ability to develop strong strategies and drive effective execution.
  • Proficient in delivering presentations and possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Agility to adjust to changing market conditions.
  • Humility to admit when a strategy or tactic hasn’t worked, learn from it, and adjust.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and meet established deadlines.
  • Pristine team builder and team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to understand strategy and translate it into an effective tactical plan.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work required hours and travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outside in varied climates and conditions.
