The Successful Candidate Will
- Lead or assist with conceptual, preliminary, and detailed bridge design
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare construction cost estimates, tender documents, and contract packages
- Review designs for compliance with applicable standards
- Conduct site inspections for existing infrastructure and construction projects
- Develop proposal submissions and assist with business development efforts
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to junior staff and review their work
- Support growth initiatives, particularly in Ottawa, if based there
- P.Eng. in the province of Ontario, registered with PEO
- 6-10 years of relevant bridge engineering experience, preferably in consulting
- Proficient knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM), and applicable standards and legislation
- Strong technical design experience with reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel, and other bridge materials
- Experience with project coordination and client communication
- Strong technical and analytical skills, familiarity with Civil 3D is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset with interest in mentorship and team leadership
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
