The City of Edmonton is looking for a Team Lead, Talent Acquisition to guide a team of Talent Acquisition Consultants. In this role, you will provide leadership and direction, empowering your team to deliver exceptional recruitment services to a diverse range of internal business partners.
You will collaborate closely with City of Edmonton business leaders to understand their unique talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies to attract top candidates. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring fair, transparent, inclusive, and effective recruitment practices.
What will you do?
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of Talent Acquisition Consultants, fostering a culture of excellence in recruitment services
- Leverage your recruitment and talent sourcing expertise to help your team attract top candidates and match skills with business needs, adhering to all governing frameworks, including collective agreements
- Operate as a bridge between corporate strategy and the delivery of recruitment services
- Collaborate with peers to strategically assign work, ensuring business partners receive timely and effective talent solutions
- Effectively manage a small recruitment portfolio
- Stay attuned to evolving business needs, labor market trends, and technological advancements. You will proactively identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives and recruitment process redesigns
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with a variety of internal partners to effectively support business areas and align recruitment efforts
- Demonstrate service excellence, embracing diversity and promoting inclusiveness
- Provide guidance and support to the team in navigating and resolving selection grievances across all unionized environments
- Education or applied knowledge in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Experience delivering high-quality services while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process
- Experience developing and maintaining equitable and inclusive hiring practices
- Experience in a multi-union environment
- Combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Proven leadership experience
- Resourceful, self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Aptitude for influencing outcomes and guiding others without direct authority
- Flexibility and adaptability to deal with changing work priorities
- Dedicated to exceptional service and collaborative efforts that elevate candidate and hiring manager experiences
- Ability to establish highly collaborative working relationships with hiring managers, internal partners, and unions
- Innovative thinker with the ability to implement impactful recruitment programs
- Excellent consultative, project management, and presentation skills

- 1 permanent, full-time position
- Hours of Work: 36.9 hours per week, Monday - Friday. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite
- Salary: (Annually) $90,240.27 - $112,800.34
