If so, we want you to join our team as a Production Supervisor in our Fabrication/Feeder Department.

This position will be an onsite role based out of our plant in Milton, Ontario.

What will you do?

  • Ensure production goals are met: You will be responsible for strategic deployment of the workforce to meet production goals and customer requirements in a manner that aligns with Eaton’s safety and quality policies.
  • Environmental, health and safety: Act as a role model for our EHS program for the production department and ensure all appropriate policies, procedures and risks associated with EHS are consistently upheld.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Participate and lead activities like Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S+, and Standard Work events. Your efforts will contribute to Kaizen events and other Lean activities, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and Train: The Production Supervisor will lead by example and ensure a highly engaged, inclusive environment. They will ensure proper onboarding and training for employees in their department.


What will make you successful?

To excel in this role, you will leverage your expertise in manufacturing to ensure strategic workforce deployment, efficiencies and continuous improvement. Strong communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software, are essential to ensure adequate customer service. Your problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and experience with manufacturing processes will facilitate the smooth running and efficiency of the department. Additionally, mentoring and training employees on procedures and safety protocols will contribute to the organization's success.

Strong leadership and team management abilities, capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and problem-solving skills are crucial. Additionally, strong interpersonal and planning skills, coupled with the proven ability to inspire change through both direct and indirect influencing abilities, are highly valued.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Completed a college diploma or university degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a custom production environment is required.
  • Experience using an ERP and a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is required.
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Milton will be considered for this position. No relocation is offered for this position.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the electrical manufacturing industry, sheet metal fabrication.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodology tools and problem solving.
  • Experience in a fabrication/assembly environment.
  • Experience with Oracle and DMM.
