Safa & Marwa is a private not-for-profit Islamic School in its 28th year of operation, located in central Mississauga. Safa & Marwa School is registered by the Ontario Ministry of Education and offers a fully accredited program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Job Summary:
Safa & Marwa Islamic School is seeking a dedicated and visionary Vice Principal for the Middle and High School divisions. The VP will support the Principal in leading the academic and operational success of the school, with a strong focus on student achievement, staff development, and maintaining a faith-based, inclusive, and engaging school culture.
The ideal candidate will be a confident leader, an effective communicator, and someone who aligns deeply with the values and mission of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Administration:
- Assist the Principal in day-to-day school operations and strategic planning
- Provide instructional leadership and support the implementation of the Ontario Curriculum
- Lead teacher supervision, evaluation, and professional growth plans
- Support student discipline using a fair, consistent, and Islamic values-based approach
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high expectations
Student Achievement & Wellbeing:
- Monitor student performance data and implement academic interventions as needed
- Promote student engagement, leadership, and well-being initiatives
- Oversee academic planning including course selections, credits, and graduation pathways
Staff & Parent Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with staff, students, and families
- Lead staff meetings, PD sessions, and teacher onboarding
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievement, behavior, and school initiatives
Operations & School Culture:
- Support school-wide events, assemblies, and extracurricular programming
- Promote Islamic values throughout the school culture and curriculum
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, ministry guidelines, and school policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a related field
- Leadership qualifications (e.g., PQP 1 and/or 2) are a strong asset
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or administrative role
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of improving outcomes
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding6 of and commitment to Islamic values and character development
- Experience working in faith-based or private school settings is an asset
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening
- First Aid & CPR certification is an asset
