Job Summary:

The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a key role within the Canadian affiliate, blending strategic insights with hands-on financial management. Reporting directly to the Planning Controller, this position helps steer strategic financial planning and detailed operational activities. A versatile skill set is required to drive financial success through effective plan execution, improved operational efficiencies, and accurate financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and executing comprehensive financial planning cycles, including Plans, Updates, LBEs, and LRP.
• Support strategic initiatives by delivering detailed financial analyses, presenting insights, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Manage daily FP&A operations, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and deliverables.
• Prepare and deliver precise financial reports and dashboards that enable informed decision-making by senior leaders.
• Conduct variance analysis, offering actionable insights to bolster financial operations.
• Develop and implement metrics that align with strategic goals to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate on finance transformation projects to implement best practices in financial systems.
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor, building strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor FP&A Senior Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Support the Planning Controller with strategic and operational responsibilities, acting as a critical partner.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and participate in special projects, supporting the Planning Controller and senior leadership.
• This position will have a Financial Analyst reporting to them
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional designation preferred (CA, CGA, CMA, or MBA).
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, BPC), and Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Power BI is an asset.
• Experience in the bio-pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.
• Proven ability to work with senior leadership and communicate complex financial insights effectively.
• Experience leading or mentoring teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

This role requires a 3 days in office (minimum) presence, our offices are based in Ville Saint-Laurent, Montreal.
