Operations (billable – 70% of the time)
- Lead proposal preparation, including strategies, work plans, budgets, schedules, etc
- Develop, coordinate and carry out environmental studies, management projects and impact assessments. These projects will target sectors such as energy (hydroelectricity, wind, solar, biofuels, hydrogen, etc.), mining, industry, infrastructure and land-use planning
- Lead environmental impact assessments and related studies within a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and coordinate your own project team, including biologists, technicians and other professionals
- Lead applications for environmental permits and authorization certificates
- Coordinate biological fieldwork, including inventories, sampling, surveys and data collection; analyze results; prepare reports; and present findings to clients
- Produce documents (studies, recommendations, surveys, delineations, inventories, reports, follow-ups, etc.) tailored to client needs
- Ensure deadlines, schedules and budgets are met, and notify the senior manager promptly to renegotiate, if needed
- Record results in an organized manner as they are produced
- Support team members by setting timelines, assigning responsibilities, defining work methods and allocating human and financial resources
- Plan and manage both internal team meetings and external meetings with other relevant stakeholders or subcontractors
- Ensure effective team communication and make sure members deliver complete, accurate and timely information that’s properly analyzed and presented
- Serve as a mentor to young professionals within the group
- Build constructive business relationships throughout project execution to foster repeat business
- Promote cross-selling of services to existing clients
- Promote BBA's environmental services, both internally to colleagues and externally to current and potential clients

- Bachelor's degree in an environment-related field or other relevant training; a master's degree in environment or a related field is considered an asset
- At least seven years of relevant experience in environmental project delivery (budgeting, scheduling, planning)
- Strong technical and theoretical knowledge in the following sectors: legislation and regulations, permitting, water and natural environment management and conservation, habitat restoration, environmental impact assessments, biophysical data collection and interpretation and technical reporting
- Ability to understand and navigate the social and environmental complexities associated with project issues
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written (English and French)
- Available for short-term work assignments at client sites
