Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced and driven Inside Sales Manager to lead our Inside Sales and Customer Service teams. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing high-performing sales talent, optimizing day-to-day operations, and aligning closely with cross-functional teams to support company growth. This position plays a key role in executing sales strategies, driving team performance, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and results.

Location: Montreal, Canada (fully onsite)

Salary range: $68,000 to $75,000 CAD, depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the training, management and day-to-day support of the Inside Sales teams.
  • Create and implement sales processes including managing order form templates and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Manage end-to-end order flow process, from creation through approvals.
  • Work with outside sales team as a resource for information, assistance and quotes requiring special pricing.
  • Communicate with warehouse and shipping departments to resolve issues, changes, etc. regarding orders.
  • Assist in troubleshooting/resolving issues related to orders, customers, etc.
  • Onboard/train new team members.
  • Provide instruction to team members.
  • Remain current on customer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meeting, vendor training, trade shows and reading trade journals. Maintain an understanding of the latest technology, market conditions, competitive activities and industry trends.
  • Contact customers following a sale to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and quickly resolve any questions or complaints.
  • Present new sales promotions, product innovations and product training via webinar.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the inside sales team continuously meets the required standards of good customer service, quality, accuracy, timeliness.
  • Establish and execute on strategies for taking new contacts/leads through the lead qualification process to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales, Marketing, and Field Applications Support teams to find, nurture, and qualify potential new customers.
  • Manage the CRM lead pipeline, from first contact through qualification, and successfully transition qualified leads to regional sales teams via the Lead Generation Specialist.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the inside sales team.
  • Take ownership of recruiting, goal and target setting, coaching and performance monitoring of the inside sales team.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Service departments to ensure brand consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present revenue forecasts to the management team on a regular basis.
  • Assist the VP of Sales in defining company sales strategies to ensure profitability and continued revenue growth.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5 years of experience in inside sales, with at least 2 years in team leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and successfully managing a team.
  • Experience in the B2B space strongly preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite CRM strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, either internally within the organization or externally to clients.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self and staff
  • Computer literacy required; including advanced Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
  • Effective leadership and communication skills will be needed to succeed in this role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.
