Reporting to Shipping/Logistics Manager, the Shipping Coordinator performs a variety of duties to support the shipping department to ensure on-time delivery, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the shipping day to day functions, and interacting with customer service, Gentek Branches, vendors, and carriers.

- 3rd party compliance – monitoring portals, discrepancies, and other correspondence
- Process debits/credits from branches and returns
- Issue RMAs for products and pallets, ensure return products is tagged correctly
- Perform cycle counts per audit schedule
- Investigate and respond to requests regarding stock availability, planned ship dates
- Update customer service and branches on order/product status, cancel and flag orders
- Order entry for marketing samples
- Maintain filing of shipping documents
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Participate in the department Lean projects, assist with documentation and updating SPQDC boards
- Assist in department improvement projects – layout, labelling
- Perform quality audits of the condition of incoming and outgoing products
- Perform safety and dock audits of the shipping and receiving area
- Manage storage trailers with accurate product information
- Assist in processing all required shipping documents and maintain adequate records per ISO standards
- Ensure all shipping documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Monitor employee’s is following safety rules and procedures, reporting major issues
Educational/Experience/Skill
- 3+ years working in a shipping/receiving role
- Knowledge of customs and shipping documents
- Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Computer literacy, including working skills of Microsoft Office, Teams, email, and ERP systems
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Able to work under pressure and work flexible hours when required
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn as assigned by the Company including but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toed safety shoes, and hearing protection
- Day shift Monday to Friday
