Compensation for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 base salary + commission and performance bonuses.

As an Operations Manager at RXO, you’ll manage all procurement functions for our Freight Brokerage business unit. You’ll lead a team of procurement managers, develop new carrier relationships, and work with account teams to deliver innovative transportation solutions that meet service and cost expectations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead mode-specific teams of procurement managers; set performance targets and provide feedback on KPIs
• Own procurement-related activities across multiple customer accounts and transportation modes
• Act as liaison between RXO teams and carrier operations; ensure alignment across business functions
• Develop and implement carrier strategies and key initiatives to enhance performance and reduce cost
• Collaborate with Account Management teams to create tailored procurement solutions for our clients
• Analyze lane rates, ensure fairness, and maintain compliance with sourcing strategy
• Negotiate carrier rates and volume discounts while maintaining profit margins
• Support new customer onboarding and expansion of existing relationships
• Manage bids and quotes for single shipments or complex projects; drive savings and service outcomes
• Recommend and implement cost-saving strategies for RXO and its carrier partners

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Prior experience in operations or logistics
• High energy and a positive, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Solid technical aptitude and comfort with Microsoft Office tools

It’d be great if you also have:

• Experience in a freight brokerage environment
• Leadership experience in a high-growth or performance-based team setting
