The role


Reporting to the Director, Brand Management & Market Intelligence, the Advisor, Digital Strategy supports the development, coordination, and implementation of web projects, including website content updates, and the planning and execution of digital initiatives. The role is responsible for coordinating the development of website content and monitoring performance to support marketing needs. Engaging with internal stakeholders and agencies, the Advisor ensures the objectives are achievable and meet quality standards.


The responsibilities associated with this position include:


DIGITAL STRATEGY
  • Participate in the development of the long-term digital strategy; conduct an annual operational review and make recommendations.
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through the web.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the SEM investment strategy.
  • Review web performance scorecard and provide diagnostic and recommendation.

WEBSITE CONTENT MANAGEMENT
  • Establish, execute, and optimize strategies related to website design and content to achieve operational objectives, increase conversion rates, improve search engine rankings, and harmonize the web experience.
  • Update website content in line with corporate strategy
  • Continuously identify ways to improve the creation, management, and presentation of the content to provide a superior user experience and enhance the brand in an online environment.

WEBSITE OPTIMISATION
  • Interpret activity stats generated by web tools like Google Analytics and Power BI. Recommend initiatives and required development to reach objectives.
  • Oversee web site performance monitoring, interpret regular activity reports, and make recommendations for adjustments to ensure maximum availability and performance.
  • Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed.


PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE
  • Perform technology needs assessments, evaluate new technology and determine the benefit for the corporation, ensuring technology is aligned with the corporate IT architecture. Oversee the installation, configuration and testing of hardware and software with IT support. Maintain synchronization of production and development of web servers.
  • Manage network and data security as per IT standards.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Marketing with 4 years managing the development of a website.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply brand, content, risk, and technology guidelines.
  • Solid working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the rail industry.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO, marketing digital web campaigns.
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Good knowledge of newsletter management and distribution tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Envoke, Marketing Cloud)
  • Good knowledge of web content management tools, such as Drupal or Wordpress.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written
