Position Summary:
The People & Culture Manager is a key member of the HR team at Kii Health (Santé), supporting the full employee lifecycle and contributing to the ongoing development of a compassionate, efficient, and high-performing workplace. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, the role offers broad exposure across human resources operations and is responsible for leading and executing initiatives in recruitment, payroll, employee experience, and HR systems.
This role is ideal for an experienced HR generalist or HR manager who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment, is highly organized, and passionate about delivering high-quality service to employees and leaders.
This is a hybrid position where you will spend 3 days a week reporting out of our beautiful office in Markham, ON.
Organizational Relationships:
The People & Culture Manager works cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business, including payroll and benefits, operations, finance, and clinical leadership. This role will act as a partner to both corporate and frontline leaders and serve as a key point of contact for employees.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to support the execution of HR initiatives and ensure a consistent and positive employee experience across the organization
- Lead and support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including posting, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding
- Maintain a strong understanding of workforce needs and proactively support hiring plans and workforce planning
- Oversee day-to-day payroll coordination in collaboration with the Payroll team, including timely submission of changes, data audits/reporting requests, and employee inquiries
- Draft and manage employee documentation such as offers, employment agreements, internal memos, and HR policy updates
- Provide frontline HR support to employees and managers, including guidance on HR policies, leaves, performance, and conflict resolution
- Maintain HR data integrity in all systems and support preparation of reports, metrics, and compliance documentation
- Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Support employee engagement and internal communication initiatives such as town halls, onboarding, and recognition programs
- Contribute to key projects and initiatives across areas
- Support rollout of programs like the town halls, employee events and webinars
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including generalist or HR business partner roles
- Experience with payroll or payroll administration (an asset)
- Experience supporting full-cycle recruitment and onboarding
- Bilingualism in English and French is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of employment legislation across multiple provinces and the US
- Proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with employees and leaders
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with a high level of discretion and professionalism
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, values-driven environment
