Disability Case Manager:
On behalf of our Insurance client, Procom is searching for a Disability Case Manager for a 6-month role. This position is a remote position with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time permanent role, potentially requiring onsite presence at our client’s Vancouver, Edmonton, or Calgary office.
Disability Case Manager - Job Description:
Join Group Disability team, where we support Canadians in their pursuit of better health and sustainable recovery. The role involves managing disability claims and supporting clients through their recovery journey, utilizing clinical insights and data-driven decision-making.
Disability Case Manager - Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage disability claims (short-term, long-term, and salary continuance) with a focus on timely and fair resolution.
- Lead recovery planning by identifying medical and non-medical factors, functional capabilities, and return-to-work readiness.
- Apply crisis intervention and rehabilitation techniques to support clients through challenging health transitions.
- Use data and analytics to inform decisions and identify trends in recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, employers, and healthcare providers.
- Communicate with empathy and clarity, guiding clients through their absence and return-to-work journey.
- Minimum of 2 years Case Management experience with STD/LTD in insurance companies.
- Emotional Intelligence.
- Analytical Skills.
- Critical Thinking.
- Experience in Disability adjudication and case management.
- Frontline healthcare experience (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, mental health support).
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Kinesiology, or Business.
- Bilingualism (French, English) is welcome.
- Comfort with digital tools and multiple platforms.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset.
This is a 6-month contract with a high possibility of transitioning into a full-time permanent role.
