As a Level Artist on this team, you will collaborate closely with level designers and environment artists, blending artistry and technical expertise to craft captivating and performant game levels. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will be essential in transforming design concepts into stunning realities.
Responsibilities
- Champion the studio’s artistic vision, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Create high-quality level art, staying abreast of industry trends and cutting-edge techniques.
- Collaborate with art leads to ensure visual consistency, quality, and optimal level performance.
- Partner with level designers to address artistic and technical challenges, balancing aesthetics with gameplay.
- Provide detailed specifications and guidance to environment artists, ensuring seamless integration of assets.
- Maintain proactive communication with production and art leads, addressing dependencies and potential roadblocks.
- Portfolio showcasing exceptional environment and level art.
- 3+ years of experience in environment/level art, with at least one shipped title.
- Strong time management and self-direction, enabling effective work within deadlines.
- Solid understanding of level creation techniques using Unreal Engine or similar game engines.
- Proficiency in Maya (preferred) or other 3D modeling software, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and ZBrush.
- Experience working on AAA console game titles.
- Expertise in modular kit creation and world-building techniques.
