About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Engineer to join the Trading Technology – Public Market Investments team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with traders, investment professionals, and operations staff to design and implement high-impact data solutions that enable and enhance trading and post-trade activities. You will be responsible for the hands-on development of scalable, cloud-based data engineering solutions across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, derivatives, OTC, and FX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a scalable and efficient cloud-based data platform to support trading analytics and operations.
• Implement monitoring tools and processes to ensure data integrity and quality across the platform.
• Model and store complex financial and trading data for analytics and decision-making purposes.
• Develop and enforce best practices across the software development lifecycle including CI/CD and testing practices.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions.
• Create cloud-native solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) aligned with long-term architectural goals.
• Document application support processes and ensure smooth knowledge transition to operations and support teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and optimization strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies relevant to cloud data engineering and financial services.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business goals.
  
  

Required Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, trading systems, and the trade life cycle.
• Proven expertise in Python programming and cloud-native development using AWS.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes) in cloud environments.
• Solid working knowledge of relational databases and advanced SQL skills.
• Deep experience in data engineering pipelines, data profiling, quality checks, and data governance principles.
• Proficient in building ETL/ELT frameworks for high-volume data processing and analytics.
• Excellent debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Commitment to best practices in software development, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.

• Experience using BI and visualization tools like Amazon Quicksight or Tableau.
