Senior Quality Assurance Tester:

On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for a Senior Quality Assurance Tester for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.


Senior Quality Assurance Tester - Job Description:

The project involves planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems in GUI and non-GUI environments. The role includes supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities, with a focus on executing functional, non-functional, and systems-level integration tests.


Senior Quality Assurance Tester - Responsibilities:

• Provides advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing.
• Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in both GUI and non-GUI environments.
• Executes systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing.
• Develops test plans, test scripts, and test cases and executes these against the various components.
• Works with the testing lead, IT lead, and project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of the required systems.
  
  
  

Senior Quality Assurance Tester - Mandatory Skills:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems in GUI and non-GUI environments.
• Demonstrated experience with business clients, supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities.
• Demonstrated experience in executing functional tests, non-functional tests, and systems-level integration tests.
• Demonstrated experience in coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of DevOps tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Expertise in end-to-end digital accessibility testing, including automated, manual, and assistive techniques.
• Knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1 level A and AA.
  
  
  

Senior Quality Assurance Tester – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language.
• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages.
• Knowledge and understanding of testing methods in an object-oriented environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
• Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS).
