Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Makeup Team Lead entrusted with leading a team of talented makeup advisors and specialists to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales performance in the makeup department.

The successful candidate will have a solid business acumen, a passion for makeup, and play a critical role in promoting luxury makeup products, creating a personalized customer experience anchored in self-care, and ensuring overall team success.

Reporting to the Experience Manager, the Makeup Team Lead will manage a team of dedicated employees.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of makeup artists, fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing work environment.
    • Set clear performance expectations, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    • Support and execute training programs to enhance the skills and product knowledge of team members.
    • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with other store departments and managers to promote teamwork and achieve common goals.
Customer Service and Sales

    • Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to their needs, embracing empathy, and making personalized makeup consultations and recommendations to clients.
    • Ensure a consistently elevated customer experience, maintaining a high level of product knowledge and staying up to date with beauty industry trends.
    • Meet and exceed department goals, advancing revenue growth by actively engaging with customers, promoting product offerings, analyzing sales reports and KPIs, and implementing sales strategies.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, maximizing sales potential and enhancing the customer journey.
Operational Excellence

    • Maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring products are displayed attractively and in line with the brand’s esthetics.
    • Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment, collaborating with the store’s inventory team to ensure adequate product availability.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Rennaï Representation

    • Uphold the brand’s image and values, consistently representing the luxury beauty retailer in a professional, polished, and authentic manner.
    • Actively participate in brand events, promotions, and product launches, showcasing expertise and advancing customer engagement.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging brands, and innovative makeup techniques, sharing knowledge with the team and clients.
Skills And Experience You Will Need

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within the beauty or retail industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and a passion for makeup products, techniques, and trends.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales department goals and advancing revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in using beauty industry software/technology and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
