About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established organization headquartered in Ottawa, is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join their team in a key leadership role.

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for the full accounting function, financial reporting, compliance, and oversight of core financial operations. You will lead a team of five and work closely with Finance, IT, and Payroll teams to support systems integration and maintain strong internal controls.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee daily operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting
  • Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements for various entities
  • Conduct variance analysis and prepare adjusting journal entries
  • Manage treasury functions and oversee corporate credit card policy compliance
  • Lead the annual external audit and manage compliance activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, IT, and other departments
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, vendors, and clients
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the Controllership team
  • Lead strategic initiatives and participate in special financial projects
About You

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 3 years as a Controller in a $50M+ revenue organization
  • 5+ years in full-cycle accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a team of 4 or more
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
