Philanthropy & Community Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Philanthropy and Community Engagement Coordinator to lead and expand our fundraising and community outreach efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to build upon an established donor base and existing relationships, while also developing new strategies and systems to grow our impact and reach within the community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage fundraising strategies, donor tracking, and stewardship programs.
• Create and deliver strategies to identify, engage, and cultivate new donors and sponsors.
• Plan and coordinate fundraising and donor engagement events.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create fundraising communications and campaigns.
• Maintain accurate donor records and prepare reports on fundraising communications and campaigns.
• Represent the YMCA in the community and at events to build relationships.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure fundraising efforts align with program needs.
• Travel as required to attend community events, meetings, and other related activities.
• Play a key role in shaping how the YMCA connects with the community to support vital programs and services.
• Assist with marketing tasks such as drafting content for newsletters, updating the organization's website, and creating social media content to support events and fundraising.
• Lead community engagement initiatives that strengthen the YMCA's presence and impact.

This position reports directly to the General Manager of Marketing and Community Engagement and works closely with internal teams to align fundraising and outreach efforts with organizational goals.

Who You Are:

• An enthusiastic community builder and initiative-taker who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Experienced in fundraising, donor relations, community engagement, or event coordination, with at least one to two years in a related role
• Skilled at developing meaningful relationships and communicating with diverse audiences
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Experienced with Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Committed to the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and inclusiveness
