Levert has a great opportunity for a Trainer in Mine Operations in Northern Ontario.

This is a rotational camp position.

What you will need:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 7 years’ experience operating heavy equipment in an open pit mining environment, with 3 years’ in a mine training role

Experience operating large-scale CAT mining equipment, specifically 6060 and 7495 shovels Experience operating mine production drills, specifically Atlas Copco PV271, D65 and DM45 drills MTCU surface miner common core and specialty modules

Train the trainer qualification. Experience developing training programs Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint

Job Summary

The candidate must have experience in open pit mining. Reporting to the Training Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Department. The Mine Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining heavy equipment and mine operations training programs and providing effective in-field and classroom-based instruction and assessments.

Administer testing material to evaluate competency levels in both theoretical and practical applications Assist trainees by providing on-going mentoring to attain higher levels of competencies and skill sets

Track training progress and training effectiveness Provide reports on completed training sessions and individualized trainee progress

Develop training curriculum related to manufacturer’s specifications and operational/maintenance procedures, corporate and regulatory standards and objectives

You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting our clients values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Provide in-field and classroom-based instruction in accordance with the master training matrix and progression plans
